TERMS OF ORGANIZING & PARTICIPATION IN THE 8th EXHIBITION - COMPETITION OF P.M.C. LARISSA
- The right of participation is given to modelers of any kind and scale.
- The Organizing Committee of the 7th Exhibition-Contest is assigned by the Chairman of the Larissa Scale Modeling Club and the members of the A.B.
- The Organizing Committee reserves the right to not accept the participation of exhibits, that in their absolute judgement, offend the public opinion and human dignity or do not comply with the rules and spirit of the contest.
- In the case that the exhibits are attached to bases, it is the sole responsibility of each participating modeler, to secure his exhibits. It’s not necessary to be on bases except exhibits from Category 7 (Figures) which MUST be attached on bases.
- The right of participation is set at a 10,00€ fee regardless of the number of models for each participant. Minors under the age of 18 belong to the “JUNIOR” category and will participate for free.
- The Organizing Committee will receive and register the exhibits from Friday 30/05/2025 from 9:00 to 21:00 until Saturday 31/05/2025 from 9:00 to 14:00, in order that those can also participate in the contest leg of the Exhibition. Any models that are presented after 14:00 on Saturday will be accepted but can participate only in the exhibition leg of the event and not the contest leg. Models will be delivered back to their owners after the awarding ceremony which will begin at 14:00 at the earliest. In extreme cases (participations of modelers who come from afar etc.) and after communication with the Organizing Committee of the Exhibition, it is possible to make exceptions.
- All competing exhibits will be categorized in one of the following classes: “HOBBY” class for adult modelers and “MASTER” class for experienced modelers. The inclusion of an exhibit in either “HOBBY” or “MASTER” class will be decided by the participating modeler’s statement. Whoever wishes to participate in the “MASTER” class can do so. In this particular class the awarding criteria that apply are of a higher level compared to the other classes. Moreover, it is possible for a participating modeler to take part only in the exhibition leg of the event and not the contest leg if he wishes so.
- “JUNIOR” class participants can be all modelers up to the age of 18. However, if the modeler wishes so he has the option for his model(s) to take part in any other category, by accepting the more challenging awarding criteria of the other categories.
- After a model is handed in at the secretariat and until the exhibition comes to an end, no one has the right to touch his model(s). In addition, in order to receive his models at the end a participant must be accompanied by a member of the organizing committee and have in his possession the handing in paper from the secretariat.
- The judges retain the right to change a participation’s class if that is deemed necessary.
- After the model’s awarding procedure is concluded, the jury will be at the participants’ disposal for conversation and questions. Objections whose purposes will be a reevaluation of the judgement will not be accepted.
- According to the decision of the organizing committee and jury, the following awards will be given to the competing exhibits: A) Golden Medal, B) Silver Medal, C) Bronze Medal, D) Praise, E) Best exhibit in every category F) Award “Loukas Rammos”, G) Award “Theodoros Pontikas”, H) Award “Alexandros Tasioulis”, I) Best of show J) Visitor choice award. “BEST OF SHOW” will be awarded to the overall best exhibit of the entire exhibition. - It is reminded that for the model(s) entry each participant is obliged to have read and accept the terms and conditions of the contest. Any exhibit that does not comply with the statements in the proclamation, will not be accepted even if this is registered virtually.
- Models which are bought already assembled (diecast etc.) and no intervention was made from the modelers part will be put out of contest. In the case that interventions have been made in such a model there must be a thorough analysis in the comments. The jury will decide whether a model of this kind can take part in the contest or not.
